Franklin, Tennessee Christmas Tree Proposal

Pete is Brett’s first cousin on his mother’s side. Gracie’s family has a history of visiting Franklin, TN. Pete decided to visit with Gracie and they stayed at the Harpeth Hotel at at the famous Cork and Cow on Main Street all while Pete was secretly telling Brett when and where they could be to plan the perfect proposal.

Minutes before the proposal Madison and I (Brett) hid in a local bar that had a window in view of the block that Cork and Cow is located. When we got the “we’re on our way text” we hid at the square. I was wearing a beanie and big jacket and had only met Gracie one time before this so I was confident she would not recognize me. Madison and I pretended to have a conversation as I looked over Madison’s shoulder to see Pete and Gracie walking down the street.

Pete walked Gracie across the round-a-bout to the center of the square just under the lights of the giant Franklin, TN Christmas tree…the PERFECT place for any proposal. It was time.

Madison and I ran arroud trying to find the perfect angle before we opted to just stop traffic and stand out in the round-a-bout. There was a small “no drive zone” so we were safe but all the cars around gladly stopped to watch.

Following the proposal we all met again at our family Christmas party a little over a week later. So of course we had to snag a few more outside in the daylight!
