June at Robin’s Nest…

This is a tale of two high school sweethearts. Melody and Drew truly represent how the best of friends make the best of partners.

Our day started with Melody and her crew. These ladies were so fun! We lined up across the stunning makeup counter to put on the final touches to their makeup and toasted with some Sprite before it was time to get the wedding dress on.

While Melody was finishing her final look with the dress I met with Drew and the guys. Drew had gifts for his parents, Dwyane and Christie. What a special moment. We took all the guys out to the open field and took some portraits. My favorites are the watch photo and the one where we had everyone make fun of Drew…”point at something you think is funny,” we prompted them.

After taking the guys back to the Robin’s Nest Wedding Venue we met back with Melody in the bridal suite for the final touches on her dress and a quick first look with Mom and the bridesmaids.

We returned to the open field this time with all the bridal party!

Before the ceremony there was one last thing we had to capture…the first look with Dad.

The ceremony we remember was hot and sunny but honestly the feeling of love and joy coming from the family and guests made it all worth while. We all sang in worship together before finally the rings were exchanged and then the couple had their first kiss as newly weds.

We had a “cocktail hour” with both families and the wedding party. We took some group photos as well as a few of just the wedding party “flexing.”

We took a moment with the newly weds and took some portraits around the venue before the reception.

The last part of our day…the wedding reception. No words needed to describe this fun-filled, generational gathering of friends and family. So many beautiful moments were had…we were just lucky to be there to capture them all.
